About
This museum is built in the style of a traditional Russian wooden tower. Behind the ornate doors awaits a tour through Ded Moroz's chambers: one room for reading letters, another for magical experiments, a separate one for gifts. There's also a study, a library, a bedroom with a large bed and a tower of pillows—one for each day of the week—a wardrobe filled with outfits for every fairytale occasion, and a special Wishing Room. You'll be guided through the rooms by the house helpers—Snowman (Snegovik) or Snowmaiden (Snegovichka)—who will explain everything, show you around, and even help you take the perfect souvenir photo. Next to the tower lies the "Path of Fairy Tales" forest alley, lined with sculptures of Russian fairytale characters. Stroll along it and snap photos with the figures. Another attraction at the Residence is the Forest Apothecary, where visitors learn about the healing properties of northern herbs and Russian tea traditions. You can also enjoy fragrant, warming tea in a cozy, authentic setting. The next stop is the Ice Kingdom, showcasing masterfully carved ice sculptures of animals and fairytale creatures. The Residence also houses a zoo with over 400 northern animals: moose, reindeer, lynxes, wolves, and even Tibetan yaks. You can book a horse-drawn sleigh ride around the grounds.
