About
Fishing is one of the most popular outdoor activities in Tyumen. Local waters offer bream, pike, perch, rotan, chebak, crucian carp, ruffe, and burbot — and even carp in stocked lakes. Within the city, the Tura River is a well-known fishing spot. Other popular locations include the Borki settlement, the village of Embaevo, and the Sazonovo area. Locals also frequent the Tura River backwaters, such as Krivoe and Krugloe lakes. Nearby lakes like Andreevskoye, Bolshoy Naryk, Lebyazhye, Taraskul, and farther out — Lipovoye, Pesyanoye, and Polushinskoye — also attract anglers. The city even hosts fishing competitions on some bodies of water. There are dedicated fishing lodges for a comfortable and productive day with a rod. Fishing in Tyumen is possible both in summer and winter. However, note the seasonal ban during spawning: until May 20 on rivers and from May 15 to June 15 on lakes.
