Spit Park

This is where the history of Yaroslavl began. At the confluence of the Volga and Kotorosl rivers, according to legend, Yaroslav the Wise founded the fortress of the future city after defeating the sacred bear. From here, you can enjoy a view of the river, Damansky Island, the embankment, and the church domes. Spit Park features a beautiful two-level park, fountains, the monument to the 1000th anniversary of Yaroslavl, and the city's floral coat of arms. You can also bike or rollerblade on the park’s paths.
