About
The museum is located in a 19th-century wooden mansion. Once, merchant Panteleev lived here with his 17 children. Today, the “World of Forgotten Things” Museum recreates the atmosphere of pre-revolutionary urban life in the finest detail. In the living room, an authentic early 20th-century gramophone plays; in the dining room, the table is set with porcelain and silver from that era; and in the children’s room, antique toys and books are displayed. The guides don’t just show the exhibits — they tell fascinating stories about how people lived in centuries past. A special charm is added by the cozy courtyard with flower beds, benches, and a decorative windmill, where you can relax after the tour and feel like a guest of an old Vologda estate.

Livadia Palace
This architectural masterpiece from the early 20th century was designed by architect Nikolai Krasnov. The palace was built in just 17 months and became the last structure erected in the Russian Empire for the Romanov family. In 1945, it hosted the Yalta Conference with leaders of the anti-Hitler coalition.
