One of the oldest Orthodox churches in the Chechen Republic. The church was built in 1892 in the very center of Grozny. It was funded by donations from merchants of various nationalities — Russians, Armenians, Bulgarians — with participation from Cossacks and Chechen officers. Constructed in the tradition of Russian church architecture: white walls, three domes, and a bell tower. Today it remains an active parish and an important place for the Orthodox residents of the city.
