Observation Deck near the Batyushkov Monument

A picturesque spot near St. Sophia Cathedral. The centerpiece is an original monument to poet Konstantin Batyushkov by sculptor Klykov. The figure of the poet with a horse, statues of Athena Pallada and the muse create expressive silhouettes for shots against the sky or greenery. The monument’s platform is located on a high bank, offering a beautiful view. The best time for photos is early morning or the hours before sunset, when warm light illuminates the churches and the water.
