Kezenoy-Am Lake

About

Kezenoy-Am is one of the most impressive natural landmarks of the North Caucasus. The lake is located at an altitude of 1,869 meters on the border of Chechnya and Dagestan. Its depth reaches up to 74 meters, and the water remains crystal clear and cold even in summer. The lake is home to the rare Kezenoy-Am trout — an endangered species found only here. Visitors come to admire the scenery, rent boats or paddleboards, and go on horseback or hiking trips along the shore. Ziplining and ATV rentals are also popular. Kezenoy-Am was once a training base for the Soviet rowing team.
